Life Assurance

The cost of Life Insurance has dropped in recent years for a variety of reasons, not least the competition between insurers.

We will aim to save you money by reviewing and rearranging, if suitable, your old life policies so please contact us for a general overview of your current situation.

Critical Illness Cover

Health experts estimate that 1 in 3 people in Britain will contract cancer at some point in their life.(National Statistics 2005) Of a group of 20 – 40 year olds just diagnosed as having cancer, over 31% men and 43% of women will survive for five years or more. (Cancer Research UK 2002.) In the UK someone has a heart attack every 2 minutes and almost 2.6 million people have heart and circulatory disease (Stroke Association 2006).

Improvement in medical techniques has meant increasing survival periods following a critical illness and it is during this survival period that cash may be needed. Critical illness cover provides that cash.

We consider critical illness cover to be vital whether you are married or single and we have access to many of the most flexible contracts to date to cope with life's changing needs. Please contact us now for further information.

Income Protection

Income Protection insurance provides a tax free income should you be prevented from working over a period of time due to sickness or injury. The payment is usually equivalent to 50 – 60% of your usual salary, thus allowing you to concentrate on recovery rather than financial worries.

The income from a personal Income Protection plan is tax-free but you do need to be aware that any income you receive may have an impact on any state incapacity benefit that you wish to claim. Please contact us for further information.

Private Medical Insurance (PMI)

With NHS hospital queues still growing, private medical insurance is an appealing though often expensive buy.  And what you pay for is what you get. Premiums are worked out on the basis of age and the type of cover required and there is a wide range of different insurances to choose from.  At the basic level PMI kicks in when you need specialist treatment or you need to go into hospital. Some policies cover you if the NHS cannot provide treatment within a certain period of time.

At the luxury end of the market there are policies that cover a wide range of medical services such as dentistry, eye care and even spectacles, although the more extensive the cover, the higher the cost will be.  PMI is complicated for those approaching it for the first time. Whether you wish to consider an individual policy or a group policy, speak to us to ensure the policy you choose is the right one to meet your needs and guide you through the maze of different offerings on the market.
